The enhanced custody insurance provides HashKey Exchange with an 18-month policy featuring expanded protection and covering at least 50% of the platform's custodied assets. Supported by reinsurance from firms with strong financial strength ratings, including minimum ratings of “A-” from AM Best and “AA-” from Standard & Poor's, the programme strengthens HashKey Exchange's risk management framework and provides additional security for retail and institutional clients.
Beyond increased insurance coverage, the partnership has also supported optimisation of HashKey Exchange's custody design, further safeguarding core assets within its ecosystem. This initiative represents a significant advancement in comprehensive asset protection and risk mitigation for regulated virtual asset platforms.
